Reading Group 1, which is led by Pat Tarver, meets monthly at 1pm on the 1st Wednesday of each month at the Hut to discuss the book (usually a novel) chosen by the group after the previous group meeting. We spend the first half of the meeting discussing the book, then after a tea break go on to presenting suggestions for the next month.

We alternate between a specific writing genre and free choice. Each member is encouraged to research and bring along a suggestion. Often we share suggestions of other books we have enjoyed and pass on books to others.  We aim to enjoy ourselves and have a lively, friendly approach! We like to push our own personal reading comfort zone where we can. We buy our own copies of the books, download them to a device like a kindle or borrow them from the library.
